WELCOME TO OUR SITE

The Great Lakes Yacht Club is a volunteer run, non-profit organization for the benefit of our members, both military and civilian.

GLYC holds regular meetings throughout the year as well as events both at the harbor and elsewhere. In addition we sponsor the Art McGee and Ed Weller Memorial Races.

PURPOSE

The Club\'s purpose is to promote and provide support for the sport of sailing, power boating, water safety and related activities. For its members to enjoy and share our love of the sport and to provide opportunities to meet and socialize together.

 
BASE ACCESS

Access to the base & harbor is restricted to pass holders and vetted guests only. Note that there is a Coast Guard enforced exclusion zone marked by buoys extending out into Lake Michigan. Vessels must not attempt to enter the harbor without obtaining permission from the Harbor Master. Contact the harbor on VHF channel 14.

 
MEMBERSHIP

Great Lakes Yacht Club is now open to the general public.  This does not give members access to the base.
